Welcome to ISAF 2012
We cordially invite you to participate in the first EAACI International Severe Asthma Forum, ISAF 2012, which will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden 11 – 13 October 2012.
The priorities in asthma reflect the urgent need for a more rational approach to the management of asthma, and one that takes into account the emerging evidence for pathophysiological heterogeneity of the disease, particularly in its more severe forms.
Although the majority of patients with asthma are sufficiently controlled using currently available treatments, today’s management guidelines and therapies have significant shortcomings in a relatively small but very important subgroup of patients with severe asthma.
This Forum will be the premier event of the year in severe asthma. It will be attended by internationally renowned clinicians and basic scientists. In the light of the increasing knowledge in the field, ISAF 2012 will provide you with an excellent opportunity to share major developments, novel ideas and unprecedented progress in this area.
We expect great interest from delegates who will be admitted on a first-come first-served basis as the number of seats will be limited. ISAF 2012 will provide an exclusive platform for fuelling the unmet research needs and community demands of all of the stakeholders dealing with severe asthma.
We look forward to seeing you in Gothenburg!
Jan Lötvall Adnan Custovic
ISAF 2012 Chair ISAF 2012 Co-Chair & EAACI Asthma Section Chair
